Today is Lucille Ball’s 100th birthday. If you live in LA, you can celebrate this Hollywood milestone by participating in a look alike contest. Lucille Ball died in 1989. What’s remarkable about her, to me, is her business savvy. I Love Lucy set the TV mold – and made Lucille Ball a LadyTiger in the movie business. In addition, Lucy, though laughter, broke molds and vanished racial divides that were sadly present at that time. Her humor, grace and style (of course) has left one fantastic ball of a legacy behind.
