Sigh.

18 years ago today Kurt Cobain died.

I mourned Kurt’s death by lighting candles in one of the chapels of my Catholic High School. I had taped the Nirvana episode of MTV’s unplugged off my TV before the album came out (Put a date-stamp on my forehead). Since then I can’t recall another loss (celebrity-wise) that measured up to the impact this had on me – Growing up with hairbands, Nirvana was a refreshing wind from Mars.
