Thrift Score: Black and White

I’m back to trend-spotting which means I picked up a fashion magazine for the first time in 20 years. I was boycotting all apparel publications because a) fashion magazines make me feel fat and b) I ousted myself from the industry eons ago. That’s why I’m living in a hippie town, selling spices and learning how to grow my own vegetables. But being in the mountains of nowhere doesn’t mean for a minute that I will not continue to dress on the up and up – even if that up has to bought online.

For this particular $2.00 purchase – I didn’t have to go online – just to my local thrift store where, once again, I was graced by the goddess of good taste. Since black and white animal prints with piping stripes seem to be hippity-hip this fall, I am satisfied with myself for still possessing a semblance of good-forecasting skills. It seems you can take the lady out of the dressing room but you can not take the dressing room out of the lady.

Thanks to Instagram for making me feel like a professional photography who still can’t get the focus lens to work right.
